    "Portlandia" is a Peabody Award-winning satirical sketch comedy show starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. The show is set and filmed in and around Portland, Oregon, which is well known for its alternative culture types. Portland's actual mayor, Sam Adams, also appears on the show, serving as an assistant to the fictional city leader played by guest star Kyle MacLachlan. Each half-hour episode will consist of interwoven short sketches, with some characters recurring from week-to-week. The name "Portlandia" refers to the sculpture of the same name above the entrance of the Portland Building on Fifth Avenue in downtown Portland. The statue also appears in the opening montage title sequence. The Mayor cuts deals all over town to secure the perfect route for the Portland Marathon; Fred and Carrie decide to run to break their addiction to news alerts; Candace's house guest Dolly quickly becomes her new best friend. The Weirdos lose their favorite trash can, which takes an unexpected journey throughout the city; Malcolm and Kris visit their pediatrician; Peter and Nance wonder why they've never been hacked; Fred and Carrie just give up. Peter and Nance interact with celebrities on social media; Fred gives Carrie a rock n' roll remodel; James rides his bike to work; Gil and George say hello to Toni and Candace. The Mayor sets out to prove Portland's diversity; text message drama unfolds during a business meeting; activists on a hunger strike take a cheat day; drivers communicate via hand signals. Sandra discovers she can have it all; Jamie's co-workers help her get over a cold; Fred and Carrie prepare for a natural disaster; Kathleen and Dave learn how to take photo booth pictures.

Clues point to a porn king as the suspect in a case that Jane and Evrard are working. Sweeney receives some advice from Duffy. Jane and Reg are taken out of the city when parents of a young girl are found murdered in a hotel room. Jane has a hard time convincing the young girl to speak with her about the man that killed her parents. Meanwhile, Reg and Jane find themselves in harms way. Jane and Duffy are on the case of a middle-aged man found robbed and dead in a hotel. After watching surveillance tapes Jane searches for a wig-changing prostitute. Meanwhile, Duffy manages to get under Jane's skin after making comments about her relationship with Costello. Jane is called into Duffy's homicide and kidnapping case after Sweeney calls for all hands on deck. Duffy gets irritated with Jane after she suggests talking with the deceased woman's employees.

    Primeval

    Anomalies are showing up all over England allowing dinosaurs to move through them and into the present time. The team at the ARC (Anomaly Research Center) must protect the public while struggling to determine the cause of the anomalies and close them for good. Connor has disappeared through Philip's anomaly, and Matt thinks that his mission is over, Philip has won. But he can't leave Connor to his fate and jumps through the anomaly only to find himself in a barren desert world, with Connor struggling in the immense heat and deadly sun's rays. It's the world of Matt's nightmares, and they are soon being stalked by mutated Future Predators. The exhausted ARC team struggle to cope as more anomalies are opening. As the whole team lets Lester in on the secrets of Matt's mission, they're interrupted by worrying news - anomalies are opening everywhere and there are reports of a huge creature loose on the streets. Matt knows this is something important - the time he's been waiting for is now. Philip and Connor secretly open an anomaly within the ARC, only to be invaded by a mass of scurrying future-beetles, who force the ARC into lockdown. The team have just moments to save the day before the ARC and the beetle threat is destroyed when Philip threatens to incinerate the building. Following a displaced raptor through an anomaly, Matt ends up in Victorian London. Realizing its to blame for several gruesome murders in the area, he tracks it down only to find Emily attempting to do exactly the same thing. Meanwhile, back at the ARC, Abby knows she has to try and reconnect with Connor; they've been spending too much time apart. But a nasty encounter with April on the way to his lab makes her wonder if Matt is right - Connor is up to something in his lab that she isn't meant to know about. When a nuclear submarine encounters an anomaly and Liopleurodon in the sea, the team are called aboard to help. They soon find themselves under attack and get sucked back through an anomaly, with Liopleurodons damaging the outside of the sub. The team must not only capture the panicked Eustreptospondylus aboard, but fix the sub exterior in order to get home.

Connor Temple returns, and Evan faces his moment of truth against the Albertosaurus that killed his wife. When Toby is stung by a poisonous Brontoscorpio, Evan and Dylan must chase the creature back through the Anomaly to get a sample of its venom. But can they get back in time? While Dylan and Mac hunt for information on the government's secret lab, Evan goes up against Colonel Henderson Hall, who wants full access to the Anomalies. Evan and Dylan are shocked to find that Leggy, a baby terror bird, is now grown and dangerous… and has escaped from a secret government laboratory. When footage of a Triceratops goes viral, Evan and Dylan track the creature to an upscale neighbourhood, and the home of Evan's old rival, Howard Kanan.
